For some 50 years now, after centuries of seeking the most 'beautiful' sound possible, composers have been striving to tame all the rest of the sound spectrum: that which is devoid of pitch or timbre, what we flee or neglect... in short, 'noise' in all its variety and poetry. Four fellow travellers of 2e2m, top-notch bruitistes, join Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber (1973) for a programme exploring the limits.
